This is Julie, Steve and Carol's favorite daughter. :) I just talked to my parents last night, and they told me that they can receive free text messages on their satellite phone when sent from this website- http://messaging.iridium.com/ The number to send to is 881631672129.
It is free for you to send, as well. I'm not sure if their reply is free, but they told me that they would love to get short notes from their friends and family here. It would really be a bright spot in their day!
They are doing well, and are looking forward to a trip to town on the 25th when they will be able to check their email and read the longer letters from you, which they love too!
